Update on our Vacation

It has been a very long time since I posted last. So here is what has been going on. We finally got to go on our vacation back home for the fair and family reunion. It was so great! It is what we needed. It was great so see all of those who could make it. Also, we finally got to see the family wagon go out in style but my kids also got to go hucklederry picking, fishing, swimming and ski doing. They had a blast. And when it comes to swimming Colvert is a fish. I am so proud of him but unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of him swimming. (That is a little disappointing.) So here are a bunch of pictures from our vaction. We will start with the before and after pictures of the car.

Doesn't it look great now? LOL

I love Rianne's little cowboy hat. She looks so cute!
Kya and grandpa with Rianne's baby doll "June". Kya is very lucky that Rianne even let her touch that doll. There are days that I can't even touch that doll.

Bailey at Oneida just a smiling away.
Colvert loves roastin marshmellows so he was happy to do it for the camera.
Don't you love how dirty kids can get.

The kids in the tube for the ski-doing.
Another very cute Bailey pose.
Colvert and Nathan's friend Jeff on the Ski Doo
Rianne just getting ready to step in the water. Don't you just love that hat?
Unbelievably, Bailey loves laying on the grass.
Kya is giving Bailey a kiss! How cute!
Again with the cowboy hat. LOVE IT!

Up huckleberry picking. I don't think it is that fun but the kids seem to love it.

"Mommy look at my muscles"
Rianne was trying to tie her daddy's shoes onto her feet.
Just playing the backyard with my best friend's son Zakery.
This was before we went on vacation. Bailey was showing how good she could sit up with just a little bit of support.
Had to show off Rianne's natural curl. I love the ringlets.

My three adorable kids just chilling together.

Memories

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember.

4th of July

Alright, we had a blast for the 4th. My friend Kaci and her fiancee, Jason, invited us to his parents house for a 4th of July BBQ. Dummies that we are, we forgot our camera but Kaci got some good pictures of the kids for us. We had hamburgers with all the fixins, hotdogs and watermelon for dinner, chocloate chip cookies and reese's peanut butter brownies for desert, badminton and volleyball for games and of course, the main event, fireworks. Jason spent a lot of money on fireworks. (All illegal I'm sure). We had an awesome firework show and by the end of the night the whole neighborhood was cheering on our fireworks. It was so much fun. I don't think we could have had a better 4th of July. It was great to just hang with our friends and get to know new people. So, here are the pictures.
Here is Jason with some of the stack of fireworks. Unfortunately, that is the only picture of the stack Kaci got.

Kaci tried to get pictures of the fireworks in the sky but her camera was giving her difficulties. But this was one of the coolest fireworks I have ever seen. It was like a machine gun. It would set of 5 quick bangs as the fireworks flew in the air and then it would shoot of 5 more in the opposite direction. It did this a total of about 6 times. So there were lights and fireworks all over the sky it was awesome.
By the end of the night, Rianne was getting really grumpy and tired so she laid down. Most of the time she was screaming but as soon as Kaci brought out the camera she was all smiles.
This is, of course, me and Kaci.
OK, Rianne is so cute here. That piece of watermelon that she is eating was Kaci's. Kaci was sharing with Rianne but she was eating more that Kaci was so Kaci gave it to her and got a picture of Rianne eating that huge piece of watermelon. She went on to eat 1 1/2 more pieces (that same size) of watermelon.
Colvert loved the badminton set. He spent most of the night playing it. But he would get frustrated when he missed the birdie.

And, of course, we have a very cute baby, Bailey. She laid on this blanket for most of the night as content as could be. She was a very good baby the whole afternoon.
This is Bailey and Layla. Layla is that ten month old daughter of another of Kaci's friends.
Colvert again with the badminton rackets.
Rianne refused to let the net go. Nathan and I kept asking her not to touch it but she wouldn't listen. Kaci thought it was funny because Rianne was getting a kick out of pulling it down and then wacthing it bounce back up.

Busy Summer

Well, I don't have any picture this time because we are very forgetful but we have had a lot going on. We went to Roaring Springs on the 13th. It was a blast. The kids played in the kiddie pool for about an hour and then we all went floating in the never ending river. Even Bailey floated with us. She did not, however, like the water too much. It was rather cold at first but she got used to it. Next, we went into the wave pool. Rianne loved the water as long as the waves weren't going. If you are shorter than 48" they make you put a life jacket on, which is great, and Rianne loved the jacket. When the waves weren't going she would go out in the water until she couldn't touch any more and then she would lean back and float or kick her feet. She thought that was a blast. When the waves started she would get out of the water as fast as she could but she would still sit just at the edge of the water to where the water still hit her legs and there was just enough that she could still splash and play in the water. Colvert would float on his stomach when the waves weren't going. He did his best to swim with the bulky life jacket on. When the waves came, he would go out just far enough that the waves wouldn't knock him over. He saw a bunch of bigger kids jumping everytime the wave would hit them. Naturally, he had to do that too and he got a big kick out of it. He loved it. I am very fortunate to have children that love the water. After the wave pool that was about all that we could handle so we went home. Nathan helped Debbie and Jeremy take a load of stuff to thier new house that night and the next morning we discovered that Nathan had burnt himself to a crisp at Roaring Springs. It was so bad that he could barely stand to have clothes on. Well, he endured a parade that Saturday anyway. It was Eagle fun days last weekend. It is basically like the Caribou County Fair but slightly bigger. They have car shows, a rodeo, booths to buy overpriced items, a parade, the whole shabang. Anyway, we wanted to take the kids to the parade and theme was "Wet and Wild Parade." We just assumed that the wet part was water guns and stuff. Well, we were wrong. The first part of the parade was just a regular old parade with horses and candy and all that but the second half was nothing but water. They had gathered every fire truck, army water truck and anything that could spray water, just for the end of the parade. We found out later that this is how they end every parade for the Eagle Fun Days. The crowd had even participated. There were buckets and coolers full of water for the crowd to throw at the people in the parade along with water balloons and water guns. It was definately Wet and Wild. People got absolutely drenched and it was the perfect day for it. Among all of this going on, we now have a membership to a gym for our whole family and we are trying to go at least 4 times a week, so we are extremely busy, tired and sore all the time. Well, that is how our summer is starting out so far.
